I find the biggest challenge is to have the forwards making the runs in the first place. As a midfielder, when you are receiving possession of the ball you want to see your forwards already beginning to make a run behind the defence so that you can play the ball into space for them. I think it can be a case of "chicken and egg" which comes first, the pass from the midfielder or the run from the forward?
