Practising your finishing

I’m always going up to my soccer pitch with my sons to practice crossing and shooting. It’s one of those things you can do for hours and hours, day after day.

Not only that, it’s a big bonding experience between father and sons. You cross they score… funny now I think of it how often I cross for them to score…

Bonding is not just a father-son thing. If you set aside ten minutes in your coaching schedule for your players to cross and score in front of goal it not only helps them in matches, but it is a good bonding exercise between them.

“Cross it like we did in practice,” I hear my players shouting to one another.

Communicating on the pitch… whatever next.
